Copy of note sent to Attorney General John Ashcroft
Copy of letter sent to Attorney General John Ashcroft:
Dear Attorney General John Ashcroft:
I am very disturbed to read an article on
about.com about the 9/11 Fund. Here is part of the
article that pretty much sums it up:
"pretty much everyone who died - including
people who aren't even American citizens and were living in
the US illegally - will be honored by the September 11th Fund
as deserving of America's special recognition and thanks.
The sole exception will be gay and lesbian Americans, because
Feinberg and the 911 Fund wouldn't want to do anything
contrary to US law. (Unless of course it involves an illegal
alien who isn't even American - then apparently it's okay to
bend the rules.)"
So, I am angry that illegal aliens can get compensation, yet
some US citizens can't? What gives here?
As a US citizen, I formally protest this, and I am very angry that
you would come up with such a policy! It is wrong!!
I sincerely hope you get plenty of negative feedback regarding this
policy and that something is done. Illegal aliens do not
deserve compensation, your US citizens do!
Thank you,
