To Whom it May Concern,
It has come to my understanding that the gay and
pesbian partners of heroes who died on September 11th
will not automatically recieve the same benefits of
the surviving families of heterosexuals who died that
day.
Nobody's memory is honored by that (or by war,
for that matter), and as far as this particular
American is concerned, the tragedies going on in our
world have only served to hilight the self-indulgent
hipocrisy of our government.
It is my fervent hope that the tragic equalizer
that was the destruction of the World Trade Center
does not give rise to even further inequality and
unfairness. Otherwise we have little to look forward
to in the next century.
Sincerely,
