Please don't discriminate
Greetings--
I am writing you to beg you to honor the memory of all of those killed
in the events of Sept 11th. It is unconscionable that you would not
extend benefits to all the families and spouses of those victims. All
Americans, straight and gay alike, who lost their loved ones that day
deserve to be treated equally.
We were told that on September 11 "hyphenated-Americans" were no more,
and rather than
being Italian-Americans, African-Americans or gay-Americans, we were now
simply Americans. There is no room for politics here. Please, please,
treat everyone respectfully and equally.
in Christ's name--
