Victom Compensation Fund - Yes for Domestic Partners

I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those who died on September 11 are not automatically going to receive the same benefits as heterosexual spouses.

In an appearance on the Sunday, March 10 broadcast of NBC's "Meet the Press," Kenneth Feinberg, the head of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (a fund created by Congress and run by the Department of Justice), said that gay partners of the heroes of September 11th will not necessarily be eligible for the same compensation as heterosexual family members who lost their loved ones.

How can the government of the United States spit upon the memories of the murdered such as:

And so many more...

I am absolutely appalled when I hear that Illegal aliens will be considered part of the family when funds are awarded but not domestic partners who have shared the lives of our nation's heroes. I am particularly distressed to hear that a government who refuses to protect AMERICANS by enforcing the immigration laws, plans to reward people who have broken the law (illegal aliens) who have entered or who remain in this country illegally. Harboring or rewarding illegal aliens should be considered an act of treason!
