Excluding a segment of society because of personal distaste is rather unfortunate and unfair. That gays and lesbians cannot be compensated is wrong. IF fetuses can be covered, then surely someone who is born gay or lesbian should be covered too. What message are you sending that 5% of 14-18 year olds struggling with the sexuality? That they are less worthy than everyone else because of something they had nothing to do with? THanks for contributing to the higher suicide rates and pervasive mental health and underperformance problems among this group because of your personal prejudices. Perhaps religion ought to be a basis for discrimination as well. Let's pick one where only 5% of the population or less practices that religion -- after all, the majority won't mind.

The hallmark of a democracy is the protection of its minorities. You and your colleagues are undermining the very thing we are fighting for.
