Outraged at lack of Equality
I, as a New Yorker, feel particularly strongly about
the pain and suffering caused by 9-11. It has
thrilled and delighted me to watch the federal
government pull together the Victim Compensation Fund.
However, How can you sit there, and discriminate
against Americans that are GLBT. I am crushed to
watch my own country harbor hate and cruelty towards
her children. That this fund would even Consider not
giving homosexual spouses the same rights as
heterosexual spouses amazes me.
who helped bring down the flight in
Pennsylvania, NY Fire Dept.
who died in the line of duty when the first
tower fell, and
who was
of
the plane that crashed into the Pentagon were just a
few of the brave heros that managed to protect our
country while being gay. How can you say they are
less worthy than fetuses and illegal aliens?
I will be watching to see what the Fund decides to do,
and hope I will once again be able to respect the
great things that this Fund could accomplish.
