Apparently, September 11 has not caused us to transcend our differences. To even suggest that gay/lesbian partners will not receive equal compensation to heterosexual couples is nothing short of disgusting. We are truly a nation of hypocrites to discriminate in such a way. We have truly reached a new level of bad behavior.
I urge those of you with the power to make these decisions to rethink your attitude. Every loss is the same. It has nothing to do with lifestyle.
Mother Theresa once said, "If we judge people, we have no time to love them."
Have we become a nation without love? It appears so. How sad. How very, very sad!
