Mr. Zwick,
I'm appalled at the decision by the US Government to further punish gay and lesbian Americans who have lost loved ones in the 9-11 attacks.
It's sickening that Ashcroft and the Justice Department are willing to bend laws to allow the flow of cash to help every possible victim except gays. Apparently, we don't pay taxes, adopt unwanted children, educate, mend the sick, or even fight and die for this nation. And apparently, it's not enough for America to kick us out of the military, deny us visitation rights, force us to pay a larger share of taxes, refuse to marry us, and equate us with alcoholics and pedophiles.
I'm ashamed of the antics of our leaders. Every victim of this tragedy should be compensated, period.
