Compensation for Gays/Lesbians
To those that are deciding who is eligible for victims' compensation:
Your idea that the partners of gays and lesbians do not qualify for
compensation is very disturbing. By deciding that compensation can be paid
out to other people, including illegal aliens and unborn children, in essence
says that your opinion of gays and lesbians falls somewhere lower on the list
than all of those other groups that do qualify.
Now, if this is the plan that you intend to continue to implement, then
perhaps we gays and lesbians of the world should abandon all good intentions
when it comes to risking our lives to save the lives of the people that you
love. This would certainly make sense, since we wouldn't want to lose our
lives knowing that our partners and our children will be left in this world
without any hope of financial support from you.
Furthermore, you can rest assured that the money and votes that would assist
anyone in perpetuating this type of discriminatory practice will dwindle to
nothing as more and more people understand the hatred for others that you are
fostering in our world.
