Fund Benefits

Dear Mr. Feinberg,

I just had the unpleasant experience of reading who, and who does not, qualify for the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund.

I am appalled and ashamed that you have decided not to award benefits to the survivors of the Gay and Lesbian victims of this horrific tragedy. Isn't it enough that they too had to suffer the lose of their partners without adding insult?

I cannot believe that benefits would be granted to illegal, undocumented aliens, but not to American Citizens! If the Justice Department is willing to turn a blind eye to those who are in this country illegally, surely compensation can be given to Gay and Lesbian citizens. If Federal Law can be overlooked, why not State Laws? Are you so callus that you cannot extend these benefits to all?

Are you actually going to treat our own citizens' worse then illegal aliens? After all a Gay man,                     , help thwart the efforts of Terrorists in their attack on the Capitol! Is his memory to be ground into the dirtlike the aircraft that he was aboard?

Truly, this is a sad day for America and her citizens. If this is how we treat our own, we are no better then China, North Korea, Iraq, Iran or any other oppressive country on this globe.

I am ashamed to be called an American!

Please, restore faith in our government and our people!

Make right this terrible injustice!

Give the benefits to ALL!
