The United States federal government has set precedent by superseding state law in many cases to do with civil rights in America and those decisions have always been backed up by the Supreme Court, I think that the man on ;Meet the Press was out of order in saying that the federal gov,t would not intervene on behalf of same sex couples unless state law backed them up. The generosity of the American People did not have strings attached for those familys and loved ones that were wiped out by Osama Bin Laden and his followers. United we stand, was the slogan of the President and the American People. This man does not represent that kind of thought at all.
