compensating victims of 9/11
To Whom it May Concern:
The thought that the gay and lesbian partners of the
victims and fallen heroes of September 11th may not
receive the same benefits as their heterosexual
counterparts is absolutely inexcusible. There is no
way to justify such callous cruelty, when we are all
supposed to have come away from this tragedy with a
message of American unity. Why create an entire class
of people who will be justified in feeling that they
are not entitled to the same rights as other
Americans- in fact, not entitled to the same rights as
illegal aliens? There is no right answer to this
question, other than that gay and lesbian people
deserve the same compensation as everyone else.
Sincerely,
