compensation for all
I am a broadcaster from Orlando FL. I am outraged that gays and
lesbians who were partners to victims or heroes of the sept. 11 tragedy
are not automatically earmarked to receive the same compensation as all
others. This fact flies in the very face of the newly United nation we
insist we have become as a result of our resilience to this act of
terrorism. Personal bias and religious beliefs will always differ among
men. It is mixing these faith driven concepts up with governing a nation
that brought about this tragedy to begin with. The only good to come out
of 9/11 would be the complete and total homogenization of the American
family. A family which celebrates it's diversity. Respecting all
persons. And treating all persons with equal amounts of justice and
compassion regardless of our fundamental differences in beliefs. Do the
right thing!
