9-11 Fund
To Whom It May Concern:
I am outraged that gay and lesbian partners of those
who died on September 11 are not automatically going to
receive the same benefits as heterosexual spouses.
Many gay and lesbians died in the terror attacks. But when it comes to gay
and lesbian heroes of the day - who helped bring down the flight
in Pennsylvania (that the government now believes was headed for Congress),
NY Fire
who died in the line of duty when the
first tower fell, and who was of the plane that
crashed into the - we are told the law is the law and no exceptions
can be made.
It is time that exceptions be made, considering that even fetuses and illegal
aliens are covered under the victim compensation scheme. Shame on you for
causing even more pain and suffering to the victims of this tragedy. In this
case, there certainly was not justice for all.
