Benefits for Gay and Lesbian Families
Hello, as a loyal taxpaying gay citizen of the United States I am appalled
that there are no guaranteed benefits for the families of Gay and Lesbian
victims of the 9/11 tragedies.
How can you levy taxes on the previous incomes of those deceased victims and
not be willing to give them the same compensation that you give heterosexual
victim's families? Is that equal treatment under the law? Special rights?
Where is the "compassionate conservatism" that President Bush spoke about
during his campaign? To receive respect you must earn respect by acting in an
honest, forthright and equal way to everyone.
Thank you,
