discrimination in fund

To Whom It May Concern:
I am horrified to hear that the 9/11 fund will not extend the same
benefits to gay and lesbian partners that it will to heterosexual
partners. The attack on September 11th was an attack against America,
no one was spared because of race, color, creed, or sexual orientation.
Among the martyrs and heroes of that day are many gay and lesbian
Americans. Among those who worked long and hard to rescue people were
gay and lesbian Americans. Shame on you for now discriminating against
gay and lesbian Americans.
As a member of the clergy, I am shocked that after so much talk of
coming together as a country, we are so soon creating groups of people
to treat as unequal.
Have you already lost the lessons of September 11th?
