Please provide compensation to same-sex domestic partners of September 11th victims.

To whom it may concern:

I am calling to express my disappointment that the Department of Justice is leaving to the laws of individual states whether to provide compensation for domestic partners of victims of September 11th in the Victims Compensation Fund. By failing to guarantee support to these domestic partners, the Department of Justice is implying that the gay and lesbian victims of September 11th, including                     ,                      and                     , are not the heroes that they deserve to be, but are second-class citizens, not worthy of the support of the others who perished in this tragic event. Please reconsider this decision and ensure that these people receive the respect that is due to them under our country's laws.
