gay and lesbian victims of 9/11
i was recently shocked to learn that the partners of gay and lesbian men and
women who died in the september 11 attacks may be excluded from sharing in
the victims compensation fund.
if the united states government feels it does not owe gays and lesbians
anything for the losses they suffered for terrorist acts, does that mean that
we are now fair game for terrorists? does it mean that we should feel free
to ignore our duties as citizens, such as the duty to pay taxes to support
those who do not support us?
i hope you will reconsider this improvident decision and simply do the
right thing.
