An Un-American policy

Dear Fund Manager
As a taxpayer I contribute to the 9/11 fund that Congress established. I also contributed to another fund while watching a television concert. I naturally assumed that all of the funds I was contributing to would be used to compensate the families of all of the victims. I now learn that if the victim happened to be gay, his or her partner will not be compensated by the fund that my taxes support. I find this to be a shocking, depressing and Un-American policy, and I ask you to reconsider it.
Sincerly,
