funds distribution
I am writing to express my concern at the possibility that certain victims and heroes will not be honered or respected in the same way as others. Benefits to survivors of 9/11 victims should be evenly and fairly distributed. A gay or lesbian who has lost a domestic partner has experienced the same degree of loss as a heterosexual husband or wife. I hope that the victim compensation fund recognizes that its role is not to pass judgement on people and deny an equal share of the fund benefits to those families that don't fit a stereo-typical mold. We are all fellow beings and we are obliged to treat each other as we would hope to be treated. Surely the September 11th tragedy has taught us all something---
Again, please do not exclude gays and lesbians when dispersing these funds.
Thank you for your consideration.
