I can't believe what is going on with all the fuss about compensation. People die EVERY day and their families don't become instant millionaires at the expense of the American taxpayer! I have no sympathy for the             widows, with their $5000 a month mortgages, two BMWs in the garage, private school tuitions and stay at home moms... where is their life insurance? If the husband died in a car accident or even in his sleep - how were they planning on paying the bills then?

Charity is great for those who need it, but it shouldn't be used to make families rich. Americans gave generously to charities expecting to help families with immediate expenses, not to make instant millionaires. Also, the government should not use taxpayer's money to fund the bank accounts of victim's families. If anything, pay for a few months expenses, and then expect the families do what they would do if their bread-winner died any other way, get on with it. Get a job and get on with life.

Our country and all Americans have survived many, many needless deaths and tragedies without victim's families "winning the lottery". God help us all.
