I don't believe awards should be determined by set dollar amounts.

Every case is different and should be looked into as the individual life it represents. In my case, I lost my husband on September 11 and we were 5 days shy of celebrating our 3rd month anniversary. We recently were married on June 16th 2001. We were married such a small amount of time that we had no children, it was our first marriage for both of us. So there are no children involved but I am only 28 yrs old. We wanted children and were already trying, I don't see that my case should be looked as a spouse and no children, so we'll give her this amount. No, all the circumstances have to be looked and examined. We were married for less than 3 months, we were both young, we were just getting started and we had many dreams that were cut short because of our government fell asleep. Every case has its own unique twist and as such they should be looked at very closely and individually.

Don't make this a numbers game, these were innocent men and women who deserve much more respect and honor, as well as their families!
