WTC Compensation
Please do not further victimize the families of those who perished
on 09-11-01. To withhold federal money because a family received
other compensation such as insurance is wrong. Most people buy
insurance with their own hard earned money. It is not right that
the survivors be penalized by a victim's untimely death simply
because that victim tried to do the right thing for his family by
buying insurance while living.
Additionally, why should the families of the victims give up their
constitutional right to sue private entities because they received
federal compensation funds? Benevolence on the part of the government
should not be administered on the condition that grieving families
relinquish a fundamental legal right.
