unfair legislation
Dear Mr. Zwick,
I am very upset to see the implications of this fund. How can you
designate that one family's pain is worth more than another's? Is the value
of one life to be placed higher than another? My friend died in the World
Trade Center's collapse. Should his widow be penalized for being fiscally
responsible? According to your formula , she will receive nothing from the
government. Is the government sending a message that fiscal
irresponsibility will be rewarded? I sincerely hope that changes will be
made to made this fund more equitable to all those that are left behind
from this tragedy.
