Victim compensation
No one can feel more sorry for the families of the 911 victims than I do. However, I am tired of hearing them complain about how much or how little money they will be getting. They are getting a gift, a gift that those in Oklahoma City did not get , nor anyone else. Tonight on TV I heard a mother of a victim, who was a grown, independent son, complaining that she would "only" get $250,000. She was not financially dependent on her son for anything. He was only financially responsible for himself. Yet she feels that $250,000 was not enough. I am 53 years old and if I were left a widow I would be happy for any amount of money that was given to me from a fund that I did not contribute to. I think the way that the money is being distributed is very equitable. Thanks for listening.
