Dear Mr. Feinberg:

I hardly knew where to start concerning the 9/11 survivor's compensation fund. Has pure unreality descended on Washington? If my husband were murdered, where would the government be: Not with money, that is for sure. If my husband were murdered with a hundred other people, by foreigners, where would the government be? I would need to adjust my life and get another job (right now I work for him). Even if there were some mysterious government fund, why would it not be reduced by what retirement fund and life insurance he left me?

As much as I feel sorry for these people (as with anyone whose life is visited by disaster), this compensation issue is making me more angry every day. I am hearing angry statements everywhere I go, by people who are afraid to go public.

I would love a reply from you, but I will not identify myself, as I do not trust the system to not send repercussions my way. I pay a great deal of taxes, and don't want to pay any more. Nor do I want to support women who want to stay at home and continue to live in the style to which they'd become accustomed.
