Subject: "Getting along"
We were all affected by the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center towers in New York City.
Certainly, survivors of those killed were most affected at the time, but what, for example, of those killed in Aghanastan in the worldwide effort to prevent future attacks?
Are not those left behind by their deaths just as adversely affected? Where is their compensation fund?
The fund represents an effort to improve the way Americans adversely affected by enemy action are cared for. Let us hope the beneficiaries will see it that way, and forforgo the usual tort-lawyer feeding frenzy, which is one of the shames of The United States.
