September 11 Compensation
I would like to go on record as agreeing with the system as presently set up.
I cannot believe that those families with 401ks and life insurance believe
that they are being "punished" for planning ahead. I believe that the other
families, if they were fortunate enough to have "fancy" jobs with 401k plans,
would definitely have joined. Why not! I also believe that these families,
mostly in low-paying jobs, could just about put food on the table much less
purchase life insurance. These are the people we do not hear from because no
one seeks them out and here again, they do not know how to get "heard."
Someone must protect their interests.
Let us not give in to greed. We understand their loss. They must remember
that the airlines nor the American public planned such a tragedy. We are only
trying to help them out, not to make them rich for life. They should think
about what the families in Oklahoma got! The public has been very generous.
There are other organizations that will also help them out.
Keep it going as it is now!
