Compensation
A person who has lost a family member in the September 11 attacks is no
different them people who lost loved ones due to drunk driving. Both DUI
and Terrorist acts are illegal, and it is not just to pay one family and
not all the families in Oklahoma, embassies in Africa, drunk driving,
etc. This is nothing but a ploy to sheild the airlines from lawsuits and
to give the politicians something to thump thier chests about when
election time rolls around. It is wrong for FEDERAL tax dollars to be
used. The American people sent a great deal of money on thier own for
the families, which is great.
I would LOVE to see an audit showing the total amount of money given
to New York by the Federal Gov and private individuals and how much
money actually went to the families. 40 billion dollars from the Federal
Gov to repair building that were insured tells me that most has/will
gone/go to corporations and places that the people would not support on
thier own.
