COMPENSATION
There is no dollar amount that can compensate for the loss of a life. There
is no one qualified to determine such an amount. What the public has tried
to do is show the victims our heartfelt support during this unspeakable
tragedy.
It is not, however, the taxpayers responsibility to make the survivors
wealthy while the we have to continue to work for a living. It is each
person's own responsiblity to plan for their own future, unfair and untimely
death not withstanding.
