Colombia: ICITAP Delivers Homicide Investigations Course

On May 27, ICITAP-Colombia concluded a five-day Homicide Investigations Course, supported by the International Homicide Investigators Association (IHIA) and the FBI's Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG) Behavioral Analysis Unit.  A total of 30 prosecutors and investigators from the Colombian Attorney General’s Office (AGO) attended this interactive training designed to improve AGO investigations of forced disappearances, missing persons, and cold cases. The participants received training and mentoring on processes, tools, and protocols necessary for cold case investigation operations and their prosecution. In Colombia, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
