Kosovo: ICITAP Attaché Joins U.S. Ambassador in Introductory Meeting with Newly Appointed Minister of Internal Affairs

On April 12, ICITAP-Kosovo’s Attaché joined the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo and the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) for an introductory meeting with the recently appointed Minister of Internal Affairs. The U.S. Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his new appointment and expressed his commitment to continue cooperation in addressing MoIA priorities. The Minister thanked the Ambassador for the continuous support and noted that the United States an irreplaceable strategic partner of Kosovo. The Minister stressed that during his mandate, he is committed to working closely in order to strengthen the capacity of rule of law in Kosovo, in particular the MoIA agencies, in order to provide security to all citizens without any distinction. The meeting focused on the issue of the current situation with pandemic and the importance of rule of law, as well as the need for reforms in the Kosovo Police and Public Administration, which have a direct impact on the security of the country.
