North Macedonia: ICITAP Attaché Has Introductory Meeting with Minister of Interior

On April 28, the Minister of Interior of North Macedonia met with the recently arrived ICITAP-North Macedonia’s Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje. The Minister welcomed ICITAP’s Attaché to North Macedonia, wishing him the best of success in his new position. The Minister referred to the cooperation with the ICITAP mission, which provides continuous support for police professionalization through the implementation of many projects and technical assistance intended for the North Macedonia Ministry of Interior. The Minister admires the extensive, sincere, and friendly cooperation, emphasizing that the Ministry of Interior is looking forward to permanent cooperation with the ICITAP mission. ICITAP Attaché Carl Risheim, expressed his gratitude for the meeting and the constructive discussion. Mr. Risheim said that during his mandate he will continue the good work with the Ministry of Interior and will do his best to foster the cooperation. In North Macedonia, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
