North Macedonia: ICITAP Recognized by Minister of Interior at Police Day Celebration

On May 7, ICITAP-North Macedonia’s Attaché participated in the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Police Day celebration event. During the celebration, the Minister of Interior presented ICITAP’s Attaché with a plaque recognizing ICITAP's continuous support in the Modernization of North Macedonia's Ministry of Interior. Since 2001, ICITAP has provided assistance to the MOI and the Public Security Bureau (PSB) in the achievement of reforms identified in the Ohrid Framework Agreement to advance Macedonian law enforcement efforts to thwart and investigate transnational crime, terrorism, radicalization, and violent extremism that threaten both North Macedonia and the United States. In North Macedonia, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
