Serbia: ICITAP-Renovated Facilities Serve as Site for University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies International Scientific Conference

On November 8, ICITAP-Serbia attended the opening plenary of the 13th Annual International Scientific Conference “Archibald Reiss Days” organized by the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies (UCIPS) in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation. The conference took place in ICITAP’s recently completed renovated facilities including an auditorium with state-of-the art technology. The conference hosted experts from Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and numerous others virtually to review and publicize scientific research projects concerning criminal threats. The first conference was held in 2011 and since then, UCIPS has hosted 186 scientists from all over the world and published 1,286 scientific papers including 515 international papers. At the conclusion of the conference, the rector of the UCIPS was interviewed in the renovated facility by national media, and he highlighted the conference’s accomplishments and the recent signing of an MOU with the University of Central Florida establishing an ICITAP-facilitated formal academic partnership.
