On February 20, ICITAP was notified by the Accreditation Manager for the International Association of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) that the Accreditation Committee had accepted the recommendation of the Assessment Team to award law enforcement academy accreditation to the Sarajevo (Police) Academy. The Sarajevo Academy is the second police academy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to gain IADLEST accreditation. Kudos to the Academy Director and his staff for their efforts during this process. When notifying ICITAP-BiH of the successful accreditation decision, the IADLEST Accreditation Manager also expressed his thanks to two key host-country members of ICITAP’s team for their assistance to ICITAP. “We continue to tell people how professional, competent and helpful the ICITAP staff has been for this process.” Formal presentation of the Accreditation Certificate is pending. In BiH, ICITAP facilitated this activity with the support of and in coordination with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
