Dominican Republic: ICITAP Helps Safeguard Dominican National Police Officers Health During COVID-19 Pandemic

From April 17 to 18, ICITAP provided technical assistance in designing monitoring instruments for data, relating to the health and well-being of Dominican National Police (DNP) officers. In compliance with recommendations offered by the DNP Context Analysis Group (GAC) regarding the health and safety of police officers, ICITAP’s Human Resources (HR) Advisor designed and proposed, in collaboration with members of the DNP HR Directorate, a template to collate and structure data to facilitate extraction of information for analysis. As a result, the proposal received tremendous support by the GAC Coordinator, who requested that the Technology Department adapt this proposed system to the digital platforms they are currently developing in support of GAC activities. This initiative supports the ICITAP HR Development Model, and more specifically, the health and safety of police officers, thus improving labor performance and promoting personal growth. In the DR, ICITAP works with the support of and in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
