Dominican Republic: ICITAP Participates in Police Transformation Workshop

On August 15, in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), ICITAP completed their participation in the two-day Fourth Annual Planning Workshop hosted by the Dominican National Police. As an annually scheduled planning and organizational development event, several presentations were offered by various government entities relating to Budget requirements, economic studies relating to the cost of crime. The workshop provided an opportunity to present the various topics outlined in the Planning Manual, which was prepared by ICITAP and planning staff. On the second day of the workshop, ICITAP presented program objectives and description along with other international agencies.  Each agency discussed contributions toward police transformation and the various aspects related to each program. It was an opportunity to discuss important themes to ensure efficient public administration and enhance national security.
