Dominican Republic: ICITAP-Supported Strategic Plan Approved by Ministry of Public Administration

On October 2, ICITAP participated in a working session with the Planning Directorate and the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Public Administration (MAP). The organizational structure of the Strategic Communications Directorate and the scope of each of the departments were presented. The MAP delegate commented that the proposed structure represented a professional and innovative structure, which is relevant to the Dominican National Police. After making modifications in some areas, the Ministry approved the structure of the Directorate of Strategic Communications of the National Police.  This is a significant accomplishment and milestone, which allows ICITAP to proceed with developing processes and procedures within the framework of ICITAP’s Police Professional Program in the Dominican Republic. In the Dominican Republic, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
