On December 20, ICITAP completed the third week of Crime Scene Investigation First Responders Training program in Orlando, FL for 18 representatives of Iraq’s Ministry of Interior. The program was delivered the Train-the-Trainer format in partnership with the University of Central Florida. The students included Ministry of Interior (MOI) police officers and command personnel assigned to various MOI units including the Forensic Division, Intelligence & Terrorism Department, Crimes Scene Units, the Police Academy and the Basra Police Command. The third course in the series involved “teach back” sessions where each student was required to develop a short presentation on a forensics related topic using the principals learned during the Instructor Development portion of the series. Students were then evaluated on their presentations by the instructors. ICITAP delivered this training series with the support of and in coordination with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
