Kosovo: ICITAP Recognized at End-of-Year Police Ceremony
On December 26, Kosovo Police (KP) held its end-of-year ceremony, during which the KP General Director presented awards to officers who have exceeded their expectations, risking their lives while carrying out their duties and saving the lives of others. In total, 49 awards were presented. Present in this ceremony were the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the U.S. Embassy, ICITAP advisors, family members of fallen officers, journalists, and others. KPGD began his address with a reveal of the 2019 Kosovo Crime Statistics and reported a 16.60 percent decrease in overall criminal offenses compared to the previous year. He pointed out the outstanding accomplishments of KP officers and employees during 2019 and congratulated them all on a job well done. The Prime Minister presented the Gergj Kastrioti Medal to the Kosovo Police General Director, recognizing his excellent work and engagement to providing quality police services to the citizens. The Prime Minister thanked ICITAP for all their past and continued support to the Kosovo Police.
