Nepal: ICITAP Delivers Resilience Training to Senior Leadership of National Police

On July 9, ICITAP-Nepal’s Attaché Carl spoke with 15 members of the Nepal Police Senior Leadership, who were receiving strategic command and management training, provided by the Kathmandu University School of Management in tandem with a retired Additional Inspector General of the Police (AIGP), at the Nepal Police Academy. ICITAP-Nepal’s Attaché, a certified resilience trainer and coach, was invited by the National Police Academy to speak about resilience and its effect on police leadership. The introductory discussion was very well received, prompting many of the participants to request additional training for their operational units as well as for themselves. The representatives of the Kathmandu University also invited ICITAP-Nepal’s Attaché to speak at the university. Aside from the training, it was a great opportunity for the ICITAP-Nepal’s Attaché, with a little over three months in country, to meet the senior leadership of the organization, some of whom head investigative units such as the Trafficking in Persons Bureau, who will receive extensive training and mentoring by DOJ in the near future.
