Financial Assistance

The International Terrorism Victims Expense Reimbursement Program (ITVERP) is a unique federal program that provides financial reimbursement for qualifying expenses to qualified U.S. citizens and U.S. government employees who suffered direct physical or emotional injury from an act of international terrorism while outside the United States.

In 2008, the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission Libya Claims Program, was given authority to adjudicate claims of U.S. nationals in 12 eligible identified incidents.
