January 21, 2020

Fifteen Individuals and Nine Teams Received Awards from the Assistant Attorney General

The Antitrust Division held its annual Assistant Attorney General Awards ceremony today to highlight the past year’s achievements.  The ceremony recognized outstanding work to benefit American consumers by the Division’s civil, criminal, international, appellate, and economics staff.  During the ceremony, Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim praised the staff’s “zealous commitment to public service,” and thanked the recipients for “another year in which we can be proud not only of our achievements, but also of our people.”

“I’m excited for the opportunity to recognize the great work done by so many of our colleagues for a third time,” said Assistant Attorney General Delrahim.  “This ceremony becomes more meaningful as I have been able to witness first hand all of the hard work that our award recipients put in and the obstacles that they had to overcome to get to our fantastic results.”

After opening remarks from Assistant Attorney General Delrahim, the division awarded eight honorary awards, eight individual awards, and eight team awards.  The attached program includes a full listing of all of this morning’s honorees.
