The Department of Justice observed Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the National theme of “Walk Together, Embrace Differences, Build Legacies.” During this year’s program, remarks were delivered by the Honorable Loretta E. Lynch, Attorney General of the United States, Sung-Hee Suh, Deputy Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, and the program keynote speaker Dr. Leana S. Wen, Commissioner of Health of Baltimore City. Dr. Wen leads the oldest, continuously-operating health department in the U.S., with over 1,000 employees. Minh Dang, Scientist, Drug Enforcement Administration, and Chair, DOJ Pan Asia Employees Association, will also provide remarks.  A special cultural performance was also provided by pre-kindergarten students from the Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School.
