National Night Out

On August 6, 2019, the office commemorated National Night Out 2019 with events across the Central District. National Night Out is a national community-building campaign designed to enhance the partnership between law enforcement and the community.

The goals of the events across the country are to bring back a true sense of community, heighten crime-and-drug-prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. U.S. Attorney Hanna attended several of the events sponsored by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. #NationalNightOut
