On June 13, 2016, the U.S. Attorney’s Office hosted 12 middle school students from throughout New Mexico who are participating in the NMHBA/UNM Summer Law Camp.  After U.S. Attorney Damon Martinez welcomed the students and provided an overview of the Office’s work, a panel comprised of Assistant U.S. Attorneys Houghton, Kastrin, Ruiz-Valdez and Wilson discussed their paths to becoming attorneys and their experiences as federal prosecutors.  The session ended with Assistant U.S. Attorney Hurtado presenting his opening statement from the Folse carjacking trial.  Smart on Crime Assistant U.S. Attorney Henderson coordinated this event.
