DOJ Webinar on Investigation and Prosecution under the Federal Domestic Violence Habitual Offender Statute

AUSA/Tribal Liaison David Adams, BIA Special Agent and BIA Victim Advocate presented webinar training on best practices for the investigation and prosecution of cases brought under 18 U.S.C. Section 117, the Domestic Violence Habitual Offender Statute. The prosecution of cases under this statute has been an important tool in Indian Country to help ensure victim safety and hold repeat offenders accountable in federal court. The Assistant Director for EOUSA’s Indian, Violent and Cyber Crime Staff reported that the webinar enjoyed “very strong participation from the field and excellent feedback.”
