Indian Country Law Enforcement Coordination and Outreach – Developing a Reentry Program for Kewa Pueblo
Assistant U.S. Attorney/Tribal Liaison David Adams represented the U.S. Attorney’s Office at the Circles of Support and Accountability (COSA) reentry orientation hosted by Kewa Pueblo. Participants included representatives of the National Criminal Justice Training Center and the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking (SMART) of DOJ’s Office of Justice Programs. The purpose of the meeting was to establish an advisory committee that will work on developing a reentry program for Kewa Pueblo. AUSA Adams' participation in the meeting is part of the U.S. Attorney’s continuing commitment to strengthening the Office’s government-to-government relationships with New Mexico’s tribes, and ensure that every viable step is taken to assist tribal members to successfully reintegrate into their communities.
