Indian Country Law Enforcement Coordination and Outreach – Isleta Pueblo

On May 20, 2016, Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle Nayback, Assistant U.S. Attorney/Tribal Liaison David Adams and Law Enforcement Coordinator Gutierrez met with Isleta Pueblo officials including the Lt. Governor, General Counsel, Chief of Police, Prosecutor, and other law enforcement personnel.  The meeting is part of a continued effort to support and improve public safety in our tribal communities. The participants discussed strategies to ensure that every viable federal case is fully investigated and prosecuted.  They also discussed continued coordination on reentry efforts and progress towards implementation of enhanced sentencing and jurisdiction under the Tribal Law and Order Act as well as the Violence Against Women’s Act.
